There is no greater ‘achievement’ than God realization. Rest all is trivial. So in secular world whatever minor achievements I may have had, may have just created ego escalation and bondage. Why ? Because the happiness I thought I may get from them was ephemeral.

I was always trying to be somebody . Now I am taking baby steps to be become nobody (egoless).

— “from somebody to nobody is a journey!” ( Swami Ishwarananda in Pathways to Peace)

Gratefully, in recent years, becoming a student of Vedanta is slowly changing my vision though the guidance of scriptures brought by my guru. Now I try to look for higher purpose in what I do. I am trying to develop prasaad buddhi. I am striving to do my best, and leave the rest. The achievements that come from such vision have been much more meaningful.

No worldly achievements will give me permanent happiness though. If I keep on looking for this outside, I may keep on sinking and floating on and off. Though I know it intellectually yet I also have to ‘ FEEL’ that I’m of the nature of JOY. That will be the best achievement ever- to Know Myself, Self Realization, rediscover the Divine within.
