Reviewing the notes was a great opportunity to revisit what we learnt and to continue to practice.
Felt like sharing few of the many key messages by Vivekji that I found in my notes-
I’m going to call it- Forty rules of Love ( it’s namesake is my favorite book by Turkish author- Elif Shafak). In this book by Shafak, forty rules were given by Shams Tabrizi to Rumi; a soulmate to another, from a guru to his shishya…..
- The fabric of ‘I’ is Contentment
- 2. Nothing is enough until one reaches Brahman
- 3. Is your time being invested in values or valuables?
- 4. Bhakti is dependence on creator
- 5. Pearl Jam- I have tasted the life wasted; I’m never going back again
- 6. Sin is what takes you away from your Nature
- 7. Ideation is what makes the implementation worthwhile
- 8. Three ways to become resilient — Exercise, Examples( role models) and Ethics
- 9. Peace has nothing to do with context, only with content
- 10. The only conversion in Sanatana Dharma is- from values to virtues.
- 11. Being born as human, opens dimensions of greatness
- 12. Revolution is fast and happens outside; evolution is slow and happens inside
