Neelkantha- i wore a blue scarf which reminded me of His unconditional love. Sharing a verse i wrote inspired by The Neelkantha-

(My gratitude to unknown artist for this image that makes me smile and cry)

Neelkantha- The Blue necked One.

Happiness is-

The longing for Him that starts

from the ocean of my heart

and slowly reaches my eyes, that rain.

The love that this soul can perceive,

without the transactions and games.

The invisible hands that hold me.

Happiness is reveling in His name and form.

yet as I reach higher

watching the names and form disappear,

within me.

Happiness is standing at the threshold,

knowing what lies within.

Not reaching it yet.

That wait!

The journey itself is the nectar

as sweet as the destination perhaps.

That desire that makes me want

to deserve You.

Those eyes, half closed

that I catch sometimes looking at me.

My joy knows no bounds.

Your Blue neck-

a constant reminder of Your love

that has embraced all my poisons;

loved me, despite me.

And when He answers me

before the question reaches my lips;

I cannot explain.

I cannot define.

I only feel it.

Is that love?

Is that happiness?

I do not know!

All I know is,

it fills me with something

beyond the boundaries

of any love or happiness that I have known.

I call it happiness.

He says,

why call it names ?

Your name is on my tongue. Your image is in my sight. Your memory is in my heart. Where can I send the words, that I write ~Rumi
