Mahashivratri- the most auspicious day of the year to look within, meditate, revel in His name and Light.

I fasted by restricting to liquids/ fruits. After being bed ridden for more than 2 days last week followed by slow recovery, this instrument of body was not adequate for complete fast, unfortunately.( my husband on the other hand did complete fast- no food and water). Those 3 days that I lost from my life last week made me realize the value of this illusory Time. How many hours have I wasted in nonessential when they could have been spent with Him!!!

It was almost an epiphany. ‘Time is short and my Art is long’. Though Time is relative yet this lifetime is all i have to get enlightened. What am i waiting for ?

The day started beautifully with contemplation and I promised my self not to put anything in my body and mind that is not for higher purpose. Listened to Shiva astakams, bhajans though out the whole day even at work. What a Satvik experience it was.

Had to Spend 10 hours at work and was bit foggy due to recent illness but i was happy to be back to work and with His compassion, all seemed possible. Though many times I was walking tangentially , (my partner diagnosed me with vertigo amongst other possibilities but very optimistically, i wanted to think that it could have been intoxication of His name- Om Namah Shivaya!). His name was on auto play in my mind.

The mind and body felt quieter and lighter . In the evening spend long time in prayer/ meditation room at His feet, in Silence. It was most beautiful experience. Only in silence one can hear Him.

May His light always shine through me.

Om Namah Shivaya
