I’m the Original Light
I was a stranger in your world;
stranded.
Exiled from the heavens door.
Longing to hear
the anthem of God.
I remove the wall
behind which I hide
from you.
I look in your beautiful somber eyes- deep,
and I see me.
Our hearts forlorn in the intense longing.
With nimble feet and weary arms
we carry each other.
We were despondent souls in exile!
Now He has called.
So we begin our pilgrimage.
Where stars kiss the sky
we hear the perlocutionary ballads of cosmos
as the incipient seeds of hope, dance.
Where the milky moon is set to flame,
there I will await You.
Where the echo flowers chant Your name,
Our nascent promise blooms.
I find You.
Now we hold our hands
To return to where we came from.
You- I behold within.
It was like finding my Self-
as we were never apart.
I absorbed in You.
One.
No more in the darkness of self imposed exile.
We return to I.
Our journeys illumined.
For,
I’m the Original Light.
