From Me to myself- self deprecation

In this mirror of Life

do you see Me?

Beyond the greying of the crown

colored by the the spurious blacks;

your ancient skin

embellished by an array of liniments.

Sapless lips,

decorated by specious shades

flaunting an occasional surrogate smile

for others sake.

You,

hiding the flood of tears

behind the painted kohl lined eyes.

Mind convulsed by multifarious thoughts.

Supplanted by the prism of past,

your intellect always trying to decide.

Illusive-

this ghost writer in disguise.

This body, mind and intellect,

all contrived.

You drape Falsehood.

Yet you cannot deny

your heart’s Truth;

the longing for Him, within you.

Waiting for the death of I!

Hope

veiled in your deep dark eyes.
